IMO: Staying at the Bottom? AL Edition

What is going on guys, I hope you all are doing well. Today, we will look at the teams at the bottom of each division in the NL. We will see if this is where they belong or if their futures could be changing. The records as of 8/15 Time goes to the AL East to start this excellent article. For the first time in Franchise history, this team gave up 8+ runs for six games. They are sitting at 6-15, going 3-7 over their last 10. The Boston Red Sox aren't the worst team in baseball a 1/3 of the way into the season but are the worst in the AL. I saw this coming after losing Mookie, Price in a trade. Have Sale and E-Rod go down to injury. The Sox as a team have 24HR, 83RBI, 187K's, 252BA and 313OBP. Pillar is the BA leader with a 316BA, while the rest is 295BA or lower. The pitching staff is struggling as well or just in reality with a 5.86ERA. The starters each have an ERA of 3.38 or higher. While looking into the numbers deeper, I just dropped Eovaldi from my fantasy team. For the

Contender or Pretender- AL Edition

Hello, hello. HELLO! How I have missed you guys ever so much. It has been a chaotic month, and I am pushing through some serious writer's block, so please forgive me. This piece was written on Saturday 8/15 as an FYI Before we get into, I want to mention my friends over at Repp Sports and Raze Energy. I have been running on fumes the last few weeks, and Raze has been helping keep pushing. Raze Energy fuels the Blog We are going to get into Contender or Pretender in the National League today. I will look at the top 6 teams in the AL and their most significant strengths and weaknesses as we progress in the season. Being a 1/3 of the way into the race, its time to start digging a little deeper. 6- After having to option two of their better pitchers in Pleasac and Clevinger, the Cleveland Indians come in 6th place in the AL. This team's strength has been the rotation being lead by Biber and his 43K, followed by Civale and Carrasco, both also pitching exceptionally well. Karinc

Contender or Pretender- NL Edition

Hello, hello. HELLO! How I have missed you guys ever so much. It has been a chaotic month, and I am pushing through some serious writer's block, so please forgive me. Just as a side note, I wrote this on Saturday 8/15 Before we get into, I want to mention my friends over at Repp Sports and Raze Energy. I have been running on fumes the last few weeks, and Raze has been helping keep pushing. Raze Energy fuels the Blog We are going to get into Contender or Pretender in the National League today. I am going to look at the top 6 teams in the NL and their most significant strengths and weaknesses as we progress in the season. Being a 1/3 of the way into the race, its time to start digging a little deeper. 6- The San Diego Padres have been playing some great baseball to start the season. They are starting the season at 11-10, having lost 4 of their last five games to division rivals. The offense has been the biggest strength of the team being lead by Tatis Jr. We all saw this coming

IMO- 20/60 Around the Horn

We are now about one-third of the way into the 2020 season. It is time for us to talk about the 20 things we have seen. so far this season 1- Dad's strength is real! After Beckham Trout was born and Mike Trout returned to the lineup, he has hit 8HR. I think he is just tired, so then it turned into anger and then into dingers. Keep taking it out on that baseball; now he is tied for the most in the MLB. 2- I think Shane Bieber wants to strikeout everyone and make them look silly. He then settles for ground outs or flyballs. This man now has 54 K's in his first five starts this season. Just incredible. 3- Stars keep getting hurt. Stanton, Judge, Acuna, Stras, Lemahieu Madbum, Ohtani, Donaldson, and many more have gone down to injury this season. This hurts the game as we only have 60 games to see these stars play. 4- New household names on the rise- Shane Bieber, Fernando Tatis Jr, Eloy Jimenez, Ian Happ, Lewin Diaz, Dustin May, Luis Robert, and many more taking the game an

IMO: Staying at the Bottom? NL Edition

What is going on guys, I hope you all are doing well. Today, we will look at the teams at the bottom of each division in the NL. We will see if this is where they belong or if their futures could be changing. The records as of 8/15 I am starting West with the SF Giants. Who after Saturday's game are now 8-14. They have dropped two straight in the 9th, where they were in the lead. The guy they turned to in the 9th for two nights Gott got to the 9th again. We have seen some perfect ball played by Yastrzemski, Flores, and Solano, all hitting above .300. Veterans Longoria, Crawford, Pence, Sandoval, Beltall looking like their primes are behind them. With the team having hit 24HR, 89RBI, .246BA, and a 310OBP with 175 strikeouts. This offense isn't able to get the job done against much better competition in the NL and AL West. The pitching also isn't holding up to the tough AL/NL having a team 5.16ERA. The pitching isn't picking up the hitting with Webb and Menez only SP'

IMO: 10 Games in = 10 Surprises

What is going on, BLOG! I know I have been MIA since the beginning of the season. I have just been super busy! I moved, I 've worked about eight days in a row with no day off. Its just been busy. I have missed you guys, and I am ready to get back into with you guys! Happy August, welcome to level 8 of 2020. Okay, enough with the guff. 1- The biggest and not the biggest surprise is the uptick in positive COVID-19 cases. The Marlins were the first team to have a significant outbreak, making sense for a Florida based group. The MLB did launch an investigation into why the whole team was positive. We are now onto the ST. Louis Cardinals also have a small outbreak after team members went to a casino. The rumors around Mia were that they went to a gentlemen's club. To me, it doesn't matter what happened or how it happened. It is that they put the entire MLB at risk and threw some wrenches into plans. Manfred did institute some harsher punishments for those who break league man
