IMO- 20/60 Around the Horn

We are now about one-third of the way into the 2020 season. It is time for us to talk about the 20 things we have seen. so far this season 1- Dad's strength is real! After Beckham Trout was born and Mike Trout returned to the lineup, he has hit 8HR. I think he is just tired, so then it turned into anger and then into dingers. Keep taking it out on that baseball; now he is tied for the most in the MLB. 2- I think Shane Bieber wants to strikeout everyone and make them look silly. He then settles for ground outs or flyballs. This man now has 54 K's in his first five starts this season. Just incredible. 3- Stars keep getting hurt. Stanton, Judge, Acuna, Stras, Lemahieu Madbum, Ohtani, Donaldson, and many more have gone down to injury this season. This hurts the game as we only have 60 games to see these stars play. 4- New household names on the rise- Shane Bieber, Fernando Tatis Jr, Eloy Jimenez, Ian Happ, Lewin Diaz, Dustin May, Luis Robert, and many more taking the game and making it theirs. 5- Nelson Cruz still got it. When I am in my 40s, I hope I have even half the strength that he has. He hit two HR on Saturday for a total of 880ft of distance. 6- COVID-19 is real for teams as we are going to see a lot of makeup games through the season. The Marlins are back in action, The Cardinals are back, and inaction and now the Red's are the newest team. This means 21 days in a row now; there has been at least one game suspended due to the virus. 7- Lucky number 7 for the Marlins and Orioles, who are both top 4 between the AL and NL. Enough said. 8- Even during COVID, you can do good for the community as the Dodgers are going to give their stadium to be a polling site in the upcoming election. Please vote! 9- No matter how good you are, and if you are having a good season. Break some rules, and you get optioned. Mike Clevinger and Zach Plesac both optioned after breaking health and safety rules. The Indians had to make a tough call on these guys. 10- Can we all be more like Clint Frazier of the Yankees and wear a mask and hit bombs? He can do it while on the field, why can't you? 11- Toronto I mean... ugh Buffalo Blue Jays and their sick new threads. Yeah, they had it rough not having a home but have made Buffalo into their home. 12- The A's are excellent when down at the end of the game. Having nine comeback wins of their 15 wins. Matt Olson's last seven hits have all been HRs. The A's are just way good. 13- Anyone else sees the 5-2-5-4 double play, yeah me too. The Rockies I swear are just playing on another level. Did we also see Blackmon hit above .500 this last week for a couple of days? This man is no doubt my MVP this season so far. 14- For the first time in franchise history the Red Sox have allowed 8+ runs in 6 straight games. Yikes, fire sale coming in Boston to get some pitching into the system. The excellent news is Sale is working on pitching for another ten years during his rehab. 15- Despite all the rules from the MLB, we still have seen benches clear. Laureano's suspension was reduced to 4 games after charging the Astros dugout. Yeah, teams still don't like the Astros. 16- All-MLB Team as of now would be Tatis Jr- SS, Blackmon-DH, Trout-CF, Judge-RF, Freeman-1B, Soto-LF, Chapman-3B, Realmuto-C Lemahieu-2B I think this list team is excellent and well deserved so far. 17- The Mariners got to have Kyle as the cornerstone. Kyle Lewis is taking the torch from Kyle Seager this season as both are having good seasons. 18- Are the Orioles good? 12-8, second in the AL East, 7-3 in their last ten, which included a six-game win streak. I am just confused by this team, and they are the MLB 2020 of who knows what is going to happen next. 19- Are the Tigers good? 9-9, third in the Al Central and 1.5 games from the WC, and staying in the hunt. Possibly having more talent coming up this season to help win games. Seriously, 2020 is giving us some weird teams to watch. 20-Is the Dynasty in Houston over? Several times this season, we have seen them have a bullpen with 0 MLB IP. With the team sitting at 10-10 and 4.5 games back of the A's for the West and competing with the Tigers, Rangers, White Sox, and LA for the Wild Card spots. I think the best days are behind the Astros.
