However, after the 2012 season, he decided to sign with the Indians and the Yankees got a compensatory pick at the end of the first round of the 2013 MLB Draft in exchange for Swisher’s services. deGrom wants a 3rd CY Young. There are only a handful of pitchers who truly compete with him for the honor in the NL. He has the talent to do so. So why not. I think he gets it.

Last year we heard a lot of rumors around the deadline of deGrom and Syndaagard both being floated as trade chips. I don’t love the idea of them moving these pieces especially after acquiring Stroman. This team should compete. We will see how far they go. But I think they make a big trade around Cespedes or one of these starters.
